Founder Message
Neeru has an accomplished academic background with Bachelors and Masters in English, MBA and a diploma in Finance. She has utilized her qualifications and strengths to progress her career at a steady pace over the last 20 years. She is currently working as a Project Manager and team lead at Cisco.
Neeru immigrated to the USA from India almost 15 years ago and experienced firsthand the vast differences in the education systems between India and USA through the eyes of her two young sons, Akul and Nipun. Her boys have been attending California public schools since Kindergarten and now attend Hopkins Junior High and Washington High, a prestigious middle and high school in Fremont Unified School District.
Based on her personal experiences with the US education system, she doesn’t hesitate to voice her opinions and suggestions on various platforms including local schools, FUSD and California Department of Education.
She has volunteered countless hours serving Parkmont Elementary and Hopkins Junior High over the last 9 years. She is also an active member of school’s PTA organization. Time permitting, she also volunteers her time with Boy Scout troop 379, as Akul and Nipun are members of this troop for the last 3 years.
She is a firm believer in enriching children’s education experience outside of a school setting and ran a 2-year after-school program working with kids in the neighborhood. This program was highly successful and she got raving feedback from each parent. This experience has fueled her motivation to run an after-school at a larger scale and share her learning with other children outside of her neighborhood.
